Not a whole lot of Portland breakfast news these days, but in my Breakfast Bulletin newsletter I recently committed to regular news postings, so here we go.
- The Ps and Qs Market at 1301 NE Dekum has announced a new brunch, and posted their menu, which includes a bacon and brisket hash and a shallot-potato-manchego frittata. Mmm. I haven’t been to that place, but the “coming soon” website doesn’t help much. I’ll just have to drag the Crew over there and post a review.
- There is a new brunch place called Trinket now open at 2035 SE 39th (between Hawthorne and Division). It’s where Kingdom of Roosevelt was. I also haven’t been there, but a recent menu they posted on Facebook looks tempting. And they serve breakfast and lunch all the time!
- And finally, this isn’t completely breakfast-related, but Lovejoy Bakers announced they’re coming to the South Waterfront! According to the Portland Business Journal, they will set up in the new Emery building, right across from the OHSU tram building. That article doesn’t say when they’ll be open, but it also says the Emery will be open mid-September, which I doubt. For those of us who live in South Waterfront, this is very exciting–but nothing compared to the news that Fred Meyer is apparently coming our way!
- One new brunch that the Crew and I made it to is Redwood, out in Montavilla. Here’s my review.
